Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, providing insights, supporting strategic decision-making and support sales team in having invoicing up-to-date. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting (audit experience would be very valuable) and a keen interest in SaaS (Software as a Service) companies. Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills are key for success in this role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
✔️Financial Reporting and Analysis: Oversee and review the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in coordination with accountants. Help prepare high-quality business reports on each function, to provide accurate information and insights.
✔️Accounting Oversight and Audit Coordination: Leverage your accounting experience to oversee the work of accountants, ensuring adherence to financial policies and accuracy in financial statements. Coordinate the annual external financial audit, managing the audit process end-to-end.
✔️Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Monitor budget performance and highlight any deviations.
✔️Sales Invoicing Support: Assist the sales team in creating accurate and timely invoices. Collaborate with sales representatives to ensure proper revenue recognition and track outstanding payments.
✔️Collections Oversight: Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue invoices.
✔️Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist in special projects, ad hoc analysis, and process improvements as needed.
✔️Data Integrity: Deal with data issues to ensure accuracy of outputs, working with the Financial Accounting team to ensure costs are correctly accounted for in the finance systems
What You Need to Succed:
✔️Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
✔️2-3 years of accounting and audit experience.
✔️Good understanding and experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP/IFRS)
✔️Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
✔️Attitude and eagerness to learn more.
✔️Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
✔️Must be able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
Experience desired:
✔️Experience in SaaS metrics or Energy Sector is a plus.
✔️Experience in a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.
